The territory of Tuscia Viterbese, rich and ideal for cultivation

Tuscia is the denomination attributed to the Etruria by the Romans after the end of the Etruscan rule, which included a vast territory, part of Tuscany, western Umbria and northern Lazio, which corresponds to the province of Viterbo, rich in necropolis left by the Etruscans Testimony of their presence and the historical value of this territory.

Today the name Tuscia is attributed to the province of Viterbo where there are two volcanic lakes of Vico and Bolsena, the Cimini Mountains with its forests of beech, oak and chestnut trees that give the landscape an untamed and unique beauty. In the lower Tuscia we can find the Commune where our company is located, Corchiano, which in ancient times given its advanced position and adapted to the control of the transit routes that wandered the Cimini Mountains, played a strategic role of great importance. Right here, along the Rio Fratta, a tributary of the Tiber, is located the natural monument “Forre di Corchiano”, an area full of ancient testimonies of the past presence and activities of man, in an environment with different ecosystems ranging from the river To the rock, from the woods to the farm where undisturbed wildlife is represented by wild boars, hares, hares, foxes, foxes, pigeons, beaks, pavers, owls and buzzards. All this is repeated in the WWF Oasis of Pian Sant’Angelo which includes an area of 254 hectares distributed in the Municipality of Corchiano and Gallese where you can walk in tranquility surrounded by greenery.
